Hitachi Announces Consolidated Financial Results For the First Quarter of Fiscal 2010

Tokyo, July 30, 2010 --- Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE:HIT / TSE:6501) today announced its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2010, ended June 30, 2010.

Notes

  1. All figures, except for the outlook for full year and the first half of fiscal 2010, were converted at the rate of 88 yen to the U.S. dollar, the approximate exchange rate on the Tokyo Foreign Exchange Market as of June 30, 2010.
  2. Operating income (loss) is presented in accordance with financial reporting principles and practices generally accepted in Japan.
