Hitachi has developed advanced retrofit technology to improve the efficiency, output and reliability of existing steam turbines for both thermal and nuclear applications.

Hitachi has performed approximately 70 major turbine up-rates on Hitachi and other OEM equipment and will be installing at least eight major turbine retrofits in Canada over the next four years.

Hitachi has developed H15 & H25 gas turbines as drop in replacements for frame 5 gas turbines. Hitachi H-25 development was based on extensive experience from supplying over 280 frame 5 gas turbines. The H15 & H25 gas turbines are suitable for simple cycle, combined cycle and co-generation applications.
